Beth Slater grew up in rural North Florida on 20 acres of pine trees and fresh air. This upbringing instilled in her an enjoyment of nature and quiet spaces, but also a deep love of city life.

Beth is a freelance writer, copy editor and photographer with a background in journalism. Her specialty is improving content (words, photos, designs) and she believes in clear, effective communication. She also leads walking tours of Downtown Jacksonville for AdLib Luxury Tours & Transportation.

Currently Beth is a member of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, IMPACTjax, JCCI Forward and MOCA Contemporaries. She enjoys spending time in Downtown Jacksonville, usually with camera in hand, and at any of the city’s cultural institutions.

Beth is proud to be a third-generation graduate of the University of North Florida. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English in 2003, and studied a range of courses in the liberal arts. She is an alumna of Delta Gamma Fraternity.
